The American prison systems are failing. While it may not seem as important an issue to a large amount of people, because the people who are involved are criminals, it has a profound effect on our society, and actually encourages re-offences, and generational law breaking and incarceration. Even though crime rates in America are going down, the numbers of people being put in prison are going up. So what is wrong with the American prison system, and how can we look to improve them?
